For nearly 70 years, Shore Community Services has been meeting the needs of children and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities throughout Chicago and its North and Northwest suburban communities. Our mission to improve the quality of life for their lives through educational, residential, vocational and related programs provided with community integrated supports and services. “Guiding Individual Abilities” is our tagline that focuses on empowering every individual to achieve their greatest independence and the highest quality of life.
From humble beginnings filled with hope, passion and purpose, Shore now provides a comprehensive array of services that benefit nearly 400 individuals each year, including:

• CILAs (Community Integrated Living Arrangements)
• SLAs (Supported Living Arrangements)
• Vocational Training & Employment Services
• Adult and Seniors Program
• Life in Motion – (Choices Program)
• True North – Exploration and Employment Path Service
• Early Intervention for children birth to 3 years old who have been diagnosed with a developmental delay
• Home Based Support and Service Facilitation
• Behavioral Health Services.
These programs and services are provided in Evanston, Morton Grove and Skokie.
